Farhat and Misbah levels the series
After losing a last match of 300plus total, at Kingsmead Misbah-ul-Haq and Imran Farhat help Pakistan level the series. Finally, Pakistan batting started to move score board with valuable partnerships. But South Africa and Pakistan misses several chances due to dropping catches and sloppy fielding. In the end it was Misbah-ul-Haq and Imran Farhat’s partnership of 153 runs that got Pakistan home. Misbah-ul-Haq was also declared man of the match for his for 80 runs (R: 80, M: 129, B: 93, 4s: 7, 6s: 2, SR: 86.02) and superb captaincy. It was Misbah second half century of the cricket series.
Imran Farhat batted brilliantly and missed scoring the well deserved century. But some critics mentioned that at times he seems reluctant to play shots, but his presence on wicket till end paid off and Pakistan won match with 8 balls to spare. Imran Farhat scored mighty 93 runs (R:93, M: 214, B:144, 4s: 8, 6s: 1, SR: 64.58). From South Africa’s camp AB de Villiers (75 runs) and DA Miller (67 runs) were the prominent batsman. Shoaib Malik hit the winning stroke for Pakistan. The fifth and last South Africa verses Pakistan One Day International (ODI) will be played on March 24, 2013. The last match will decide that who will win ODI series.
