Pervez Musharraf: Home Alone at Chak Shahzad farmhouse
Former president and army chief Pervez Musharraf spent first night as prisoner confined to his bedroom at his posh Chak Shahzad farmhouse. Earlier Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui had cancelled his bail application and issued arrest orders of former president in “Judges’ Detention Case”. Its looks like Karama is paying visit to the chief of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML). He was sent on 14-day judicial remand by anti-terrorism court who has declared his Chak Shahzad farmhouse as sub-jail. He is not allowed to meet any guest including his lawyers at the moment.
Pervez Musharraf’s bedroom has television and a refrigerator, but he is barred from using telephone, mobile phone, internet or computer. He was also disqualified for contesting upcoming general elections from all four constituencies where he had applied for, including Karachi. Critics still debate on Pervez Musharraf’s homecoming, while conspiracy theorists are still busy hatching his role after elections due in coming May.
