Would you believe that Veena Malik is the most sinner person in Pakistan? According to poll conducted by new infotainment channel Hero TV, this is true! The poll conducted on TV channel asks its viewer that who they consider as most sinister. The choices given were (a) politicians (b) police (c) Veena Malik or the (d) poor people. And the poll result rated Veen Malik as the most sinner of all sinners in Pakistan. This poll is by no mean any representative of public opinion and it is not conducted in any scientific manner that ensures that views of all segments of society are properly reflected. It is basically represent the view of people who choose to participate in the Hero TV channel poll. And you can imagine the kind of demography this new channel is targeting.

The country where the corrupt politician are making the live of poor people miserable by denying their basic rights and liberties, where public institution do not play their intended role, where mullahs and fake pir betray people in name of religion; it is outright preposterous to declare Veena Malik as the most sinner of us all. By any mean if this poll result is to be taken seriously, it’s simply mean that people’s understanding of problems pertaining to them are really misguided. There are bigger issues affecting Pakistan than career choices of actress Veena Malik. Her topless nude pictures and raunchy item songs in Bollywood movies are no way near to problem related to health, education, job creation and ailing economy.

It is been reported that poll was conducted after Veena Malik approach the Hero TV with the idea of a Ramazan show. Before the launch of the actual show, its Ramadan promo created quite the stir over the internet pushing the TV channel to scrap the idea all together. In the time where channel strives for rating without paying much attention to quality programming and social & ethical standards, Veena Malik Ramazan special show “Astaghfaar” would have manage to create an audience. After the Ramadan show cancellation Veena would be saying “Why not Veena Malik Mufti sahib??”
