Pakistan Greenwash the No.1 Test side England
Pakistan has literally whitewashed England in its historical Test series victory in Dubai. The Test Cricket No.1 side has goes down on the fourth day of the match. The team under the captaincy of Misbah-ul-Haq has come a long way from the match fixing scandal in 2010. The series victory is certainly a team efforts and everybody had chipped in. England fans were stunted twice in last few weeks when they saw their team nailed by Pakistan’s “Team Misbah”. India is facing humiliating defeat by Australia and here in Emirates Pakistan is repeating the drill with mighty England. England’s captain Andrew Strauss has always termed Asian wickets as challenging, but he had never imagined this fate by Pakistan.
Pakistan meager total of 99 in first inning gave hoped England to build a solid innings, but they appeared helpless against Pakistani bowling attack. Pakistani bowling front was lead by Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman, but in third test Umar Gul also joined in. His four wickets tear down the England batting and Matt Prior unbeaten 49 was the only worthwhile efforts against the Pakistanis. Azhar Ali (157 runs) and Younis Khan (127 runs) help Pakistan consolidate a strong total. In reply, England batting collapse under Pakistan fierce bowling where AN Cook’s 49 runs and MJ Prior 49 not out was the only sincere contribution.
All credit goes to Pakistan team who has outplayed Test No.1 England during this series. This victory for Pakistan should be carried on to build a stronger side that has already proven their mental in the ground.
Congrats to Team Misbah on complete Greenwash!
